Nanaimo Landscaping will be putting people who want to have landscaping done together with the companies and people who want to be hired to do landscaping. When we say “landscaping” we mean it in the loose sense - gardens, stonework, surveying, sketching, water features, lawns and increasingly robotics.
Our advisors have lived in Nanaimo for 30 - 50 years and have during that time been involved with various aspects of landscaping. We know who does what and who does what well. At this time we are developing all sorts of features and assembling pictures, videos, etc. We will be relying largely on word of mouth but we also want to be indexed by the search engines and it takes awhile so … that is why we have this page up even though our services won’t be available until early 2008. Evidently they make new sites go through a waiting period before that site gets found in search results so just as a landscaper had better keep in mind what the weather could possibly be like before selecting the plants for the yard we are keeping in mind what it takes to be successful and that turns out to be putting up some pages with content long before you want to be indexed. With lots of terms applicable to gardens and landscaping. Trucks. Sand. Top Soil. Phrases too, like getting the seeds to germinate before first frost. We’ll try to at least be useful even before we launch, some links, some information here and there.
Some other pages also need to be created, for future use. Eventually this page will look professional but for now, just like a garden or landscaping job, it starts off not looking good but the functionality is being put in first. The beautiful plants, fruit trees, lawn, flowers, water features, stonework, etc get put in after the yard has been dug up and the watering system installed. In a similar sense that is how we are building this site. It will be operational and useful before it looks polished and good. At the moment this is the winter season for this site and it is a good time to dig the yard up and lay down some water pipes for the eventual automatic irrigation of the project.
Creating pages on this site is our equivilent of putting the watering system in. One of the things that a user of this site will be able to do is fill out a form detailing the requirements of the project. A page is needed for this form so that search engines(hereafter referred to as SEs) will find it and start watching it and eventually index it so that when someone searches for information about doing landscaping projects in Nanaimo they’ll find our pages. Creating the page could also be like planting a seed. The page will keep getting improved and the results will be like a flower blooming, that flower being a high ranking at google, yahoo, etc.
This first “seed” that we are planting will be a page where a person can enter details concerning their Nanaimo landscaping project requirements in order to get a recommendation on which contracters would be the best fit. There should also be an area where people can go through photos and select ones that are similar to the way they want their project to end up being like, or photos of sites that have geographical or aesthetic comparative value.
